If You Find A Crane

If you have found one of my cranes and are checking out my blog - GREAT!  That is the first step to making this project work.  What you do with the crane is up to you.
If the quote is something you like or means something to you and you decide just to keep the crane - that's fine.  If you want to share why you liked the quote or what you think about it - feel free to contact me or leave a comment.  I would really love to hear from you.
Send me pictures of the crane showing me where it ends up.   Be creative - Have fun.
If you decide not to keep the crane - please leave it somewhere for someone else to find.  If you have an opportunity for it to travel and want to help out - even better.
Or . . . maybe start your own crane project . . . please let me know if you do.

If you do not see a picture of the crane that you find . . . come back later.  Sometimes it takes me awhile after I place the cranes to get the photo posted.

Please leave a comment or e-mail me at chs1000cranes@hotmail.com or planet59@live.com

    1. Clare I love this idea, I was searching on the web on where to send them and I came across your website. Would you mind if I do the same in North Carolina (USA)? Therefore more people will get the cranes! :)

    2. That would be wonderful! Let me know when you get started. It is sort of fun once you get started . . . I think I will be folding cranes for the rest of my life. :)

  3. I found crane number #169 at the CHS tennis courts. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to get a picture.
By the way, I think what you're doing is awesome! I hope I can find another one so I can spread it around.

  4. I was given crane #225 today. I was racing into a meeting on the 3rd floor reading room of the library and when I sat down a colleague handed it to me. They said, 'Here, you keep it, I just found it here." He gently handed me the multicolored, delicately folded crane and I read "When you say 'I love you, mean it. ' - Instructions for life." I was touched and thought of so many moments in my life when this was relevant - in a split second. My husband, my mom who recently passed away, my friends and family so far away, lessons learned. How kind for a colleague to be willing to forgo any worries about the political correctness of work environment politics to take a chance and offer it to an obviously preoccupied, overwhelmed, crazy, busy person - me. To say it made my day, is an understatement, it reminded me to breathe. I love so many and I am deeply loved.

  5. I found #624 on my car windshield in the parking lot at Fresno State. Lucky me--there was a crane. Mine said "A journey is best measured in friends rather than miles" (Tim Cahill). Today is my birthday and I received so many wonderful birthday wishes to remind me that I have many friends--I hope they always feel as much love from me as they showed me today.

  6. I just found the crane in the photo above #639 at the exact spot in Save Mart :-)
My quote is from Henry Jones and it reads: "It's time to start living the life you've imagined."
To me, it means instead of just dreaming about doing extraordinary, learn and really take action to make it become real. Think about how you want to live and do it.
This is an amazing and awesome project.
    thank you! - from a 6th grader

    1. Thank you so much for letting me know . . . I haven't had anyone contact me regarding one of my cranes in awhile.
I like the meaning that you found in the quote. I love quotes and thought that this was a good one.
This project has taken me much longer than I had planned, but I will get it completed.
      Thanks again!

  8. I found cray number 789 in front of my boyfriend's doctor's office next to St Agnes. The quote says that here was one who knows how to hang on one minute longer. It was just last December that my boyfriend went via ambulance to Clovis community and had a heart attack he died on the table multiple times. The cardiologist on call was able to save him thank goodness that he was put into a coma for 3 weeks. This was a wonderful find and thank you for everything that you do
