Room 12 cranes . . . 2014

It is that time of year again when I am invited to Mrs. Crow's 4th grade class to show them how to fold origami cranes.  They just finished reading the book Sadako and the Thousand Paper Cranes - about Sadako Sasaki .

This is the third year that I have done this with the students in room 12 . . . and as always it is a pleasure.  I so enjoy 4th Graders!  I wish I could include photos of the students and their smiles . . . but we only get their cranes.



There were quite a few students this time who have folded paper cranes before and were pretty good at it.  It is always fun for me to watch these students help the others who are learning origami for the first time.

Crane # 445 was given to an adorable little girl we saw while we were at More Than Pizza.  She kept smiling and waving at us through the window.  As she was leaving with her mom . . . I gave her crane #445.  They got in their car . . . and then she got back out of the car and handed my husband and I the pages that she had colored.  This cute little girl made our day . . .
