  1. I found this crane with my sister on Saturday. The quote touched me deeply because my boyfriend is a broken man. He was abused by his step family and has been struggling with it since he was a kid. I am also studying to be a teacher and this quote inspires me even more to be a good teacher, role model and friend. I an reluctant to give away the pretty crane I found because it gives me so much joy and hope. Thank you for dropping it where I could find.

    1. Thank you so much for the comment Erin. This is exactly what I hope would happen with this project. Please keep the crane if you want - but I would love if you sent me a picture so I could repost that the crane was found. Good luck with school and I hope you do become a teacher. I work at an elementary school - some of my favorite people are teachers. I will keep your boyfriend in my prayers.

  2. Erin - I tried leaving a comment on you last post - but it didn't seem to want to publish - so I thought I would try writing you this way.
I've been wanting to write to you since you found one of my cranes. Again - thank you so much for commenting. When I get impatient that I am not getting much response with the cranes - my friend will keep reminding me that not everyone is the type of person who will respond or comment. . . he tells me the right person has to find one. After taking a look at your blog - I can see what she means. I love to see young people with a strong faith in God - I think I had that faith when I was your age - but didn't realize the importance of it until I was much older. It is what gets me through when life gets tough.
Good luck with your career in teaching. I work in the office at an elementary school - I see first hand how important teachers are.
    . . . and it's never too late!
