Today is November 17th - Preemie Awareness Day!
This crane is dedicated to Aleena . . . she was born at 25 weeks and weighed less than two pounds. She is now almost 6 months old . . . weighs over 10 pounds and has a strength about her you can't help but notice.

I've been following your journey and this is one of your best dedications. If you can, I would like you to dedicate a crane to my granddaughter who left us almost 6 years ago at the age of 16. Her name is Shauna. Would you like me to send a photo or more information?

I replied to your "planet" email a photo and poem. Shauna passed away from a rare form of leukemia affecting her brain stem causing a tumor on her brain. There was no warning of the problem and she didn't suffer long but she is missed by us, her mother and her brother plus so many good friends and classmates.
