I was with a friend of mine today. I had left one of my cranes on a bench - she later saw that it had been thrown away. So she took it out of the garbage and placed it somewhere else. I hate to think that someone would just throw it away . . . you would think if they were not interested they would just leave it for the next person to find. But at least crane # 128 gets a second chance.

The best way to get something done - is to begin.
special little crane . . .
One of the best things about sharing my project with the 4th graders at Jefferson Elementary School - is the way the kids have taken to folding cranes . . . room 12 has around 370 and room 18 has 200 of them. This pretty little crane was a gift for me from one of the boys in room 12 - I had given him some smaller origami paper. It now sits on my desk reminding me how great the kids are at Jefferson.

#97 in England!
I received a comment this morning that crane #97 - that was originally dropped at the SaveMart store in Clovis, CA - has arrived in England! Quite a trip for this paper crane! I may be getting a photo soon . . .
So excited one of my cranes traveled so far! I still have a lot more to drop out there - so who knows where they may end up. I am hoping to get out of town this week . . . so I can drop some in some different places.
Can't wait to see crane #97 in England! - Thank you Aaron!
Room 18 Cranes
I had another opportunity to spend some time with some more 4th graders at Jefferson Elementary. This time I helped Room 18 fold some paper cranes.
Mr. Ford's kids did a great job!
. . . and talk about enthusiasm!
This group did not want to stop folding cranes.
Mr. Ford provided some beautiful paper for them to use. They would finish one crane -
and start folding another one!
Thank you Room 18 - for letting me share my project with you -
and for all the fun we had folding cranes!

Thank you . . . from Room 12
The students from Mrs. Crow's 4th grade class gave me this wonderful card on Friday! I understand they are still making cranes and working toward the 1000 that they want to send to Japan.
